A brief summary of 'The Fallen Herald'
It is said, that ignorance is bliss.
Humanity is self-consumed. The world of Rune is at peace and The Divine Orders of the younger gods shepherd their flocks, more intent upon bickering and rivalries than the greater good. Yet, the cocoon of their ignorance of is about to be ripped asunder.

Humanity is an endangered species. Their gods have lost the war in heaven and those remaining, barely negotiate an uneasy truce. The universe is now ruled by dragon-kind and their kin. Rune, the first world, spinning alone at the heart of the universe is humanity's last retreat, about which the younger gods huddle. Something now plans to change that.

Dwelling within the living crystal city of Korth, friends since childhood, Thorn and Alasla are brothers in all but name. During a night of drunken revelry, Thorn witnesses a mythical race reputed to serve dragon-kind, lure and treacherously slay a divine Avatar to the younger gods of men. Each god has but one Avatar; their Herald.

Stricken by grief, Thorn touches the remains of fallen Avatar and unaware, takes its' seed. In doing, Thorn is sundered perhaps irrevocably from his friend, and as war descends so do their paths through it divide.
