PJ started song writing at age 12. Music lessons on a Hammond Organ didn't help his 'sight reading' abilities, but thankfully the practice did encourage the start of a successful song writing talent (and got him out of home work quite often!).
The main early influence was Queen, where PJ learnt the importance of contrast between song verse and chorus.
PJ'S claim to fame, is playing live in front of George Micheal 2 years running, whilst playing in a band called Stone Cold. This was during his sixth form years at school. George was also in the sixth form at Bushey Meads School in Watford, where the band performed at Christmas in front of the entire school. PJ recollects that George played Mother Twankey (Old Mother Goose) in the school play, prior to the band going on stage- funny how one thing leads to another!
Now like most music lovers, he likes a good song regardless of genre and likes variety- borne out by his CD collection, which are mainly compilations.
PJ has his own fully equipped 24bit 96KHz studio and loses himself in it for entire days, when writing or producing. Like most song writers, he wants the world to hear and enjoy his work and if they don't, Oh well their loss.
