Julian Blackmore
Julian began writing and playing music at a very early age, and started his formal musical training on the piano at the age of seven. Influenced by what can only be described as a colourful musical taste, long-players that have beaten a path to his eardrums include Adam and the Ants, Drea Theater, Keane, and Stock, Aitken and Waterman (because let's face it, what else was there in 1989?).
While he continues to draw his inspiration from the kaleidoscope of musical talent around, respected songwriters he would like to meet for a cuppa include Nik Kershaw, American songsmith Michael W. Smith, Burt Bacharach, Diane Warren, and Status Quo, if only to discover what their evasive fourth chord might have been.
In addition to writing and producing songs Julian also creates instrumental soundtracks, and has written and staged three musicals, as well as knocking out pieces for orchestra and small ensembles. The proudest moment in his personal musical history may well have been using the same toilet as the likes of S-Club 7 and the Spice Girls at Steelworks Studios in Sheffield.
Future plans include growing old, and working out the plot of 'Alias'. |
